Child Safety Standards

say4real has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out what we prohibit, how we prevent and detect it, how anyone can report it, and who to contact.

1. What is prohibited

The following are banned on say4real, without exception, in messages, replies, published Q&As, profile text, display names, usernames, and links:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or links to it, in any form.
  • Sexualising a minor — including sexual comments, requests, or roleplay directed at or describing anyone under 18.
  • Grooming: building trust with a minor for sexual purposes, soliciting sexual images, or attempting to move a minor to another platform for those purposes.
  • Sextortion — threatening to expose intimate imagery to coerce a person.
  • Trafficking, or advertising a minor for sexual purposes.
  • Non-sexual endangerment of a minor, including soliciting a minor's home address, school, or real-time location.

These rules bind everyone: profile owners, signed-in senders, and anonymous senders alike. Being anonymous on say4real does not make you unidentifiable to us, and it is not a shield — see our Privacy Policy for what we record.

2. Age requirements

say4real is not for children. Every account states a birth year before it can choose a username, and the answer is enforced on our servers, not in the browser:

  • Under 13 — the account is refused and permanently deleted immediately. It is not held, hidden, or recoverable.
  • 13 to 17— the account may exist, but anonymous messaging is switched off and cannot be switched on. Their profile accepts no anonymous messages, publishes no public Q&A, and is excluded from our sitemap and search listings.
  • 18 and over — full access.

Where local law sets a higher minimum age for this kind of service, that higher age applies.

3. How we prevent and detect it

Every message is screened before it is stored. A synchronous word-list filter runs first, then a machine-learning classifier scores the content, with sexual content involving minors among the categories it scores. Content that crosses our threshold is blocked or masked and a strike is recorded against the sender, who is shadow-banned on repeat offences. say4real is a text service. Users cannot upload photos or video into messages, replies, or Q&As, which removes the most common vector for CSAM entirely.

4. How to report

In the app. Open the conversation, tap the profile at the top of the thread, and choose Report. Both sides of a conversation can report the other — the profile owner and the anonymous sender — and reporting alerts a human immediately.

By email. Anyone can report child safety concerns to safety@say4real.com, whether or not they have a say4real account. Include the profile username and, if you can, the approximate date and time. Please do not attach suspected CSAM — describe it and tell us where it is; possessing and forwarding that material is itself unlawful in most countries.

We aim to acknowledge reports of child endangerment within 24 hours and act on them ahead of everything else in our queue.

5. What we do about it

Confirmed CSAE results in immediate and permanent removal of the account and its content, and a block on the underlying account and network identifiers to make re-registration harder. We preserve the associated records we hold for the authorities before the account's own data is destroyed.

We report apparent child sexual abuse material and apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and we cooperate with law enforcement and the relevant national authorities in the jurisdictions we operate in, including responding to lawful requests for the records we hold. Reporting to NCMEC or to police is not conditional on the reporter being a say4real user.

7. Keeping these standards current

We review these standards as our product, our detection tooling, and the applicable law change, and we publish the current version here. Continued use of say4real means you accept them alongside our Terms of Service.
